J Thomas (Southern) Ltd was founded in 1938, and has over 60 years of practical experience in land drainage. Initially this was almost exclusively agricultural based where we were the foremost contractors in the area.
Increased awareness of the drainage needs in the amenity sector, and a change of focus on agricultural production has meant a gradual change of emphasis over the last 30 years.
We operate on a regional basis which allows us to offer a first rate service to our customers using modern equipment and experienced, motivated staff most of whom have worked for our company for many years.
We have an active training programme for all employees both in skills and health and safety issues. Our health and safety and environmental policies are fully implemented in line with the CDM Regulations, and naturally we offer complete insurance cover.
